David graduated from the University of Tennessee – Knoxville in 2003 and stepped into public accounting. Throughout the next 15 years, he served clients in various industries, including construction, transportation and logistics, manufacturing, distribution, nonprofit, and even Major League Baseball. It was during his time in public accounting that he first crossed paths with Axle Logistics and served as the lead on the Company’s first financial audit.
After a brief stint as the Financial Director of a medical supply company from late 2017 to early 2020, David joined Axle Logistics as Controller in March of 2020. David immediately made an impact on the organization, creating and driving best financial practices throughout the company while elevating Axle’s Accounting & Finance department. As of today, David oversees 58 employees who handle AR, AP, carrier requisition, credit, freight bill auditing, payment applications, and payroll. His leadership and guidance have been impactful beyond measure.
