Axle Impact: Quarter 1 Update

At Axle Logistics, making an impact goes beyond the work we do each day. Our team continues to show up for the communities around us by volunteering, supporting local organizations, and investing time where it matters most. Together, these efforts reflect the culture we continue to build at Axle, one rooted in connection, accountability, and
service.

January

In January, Axle’s Community Spotlight was Second Harvest Food Bank of East Tennessee, an organization doing essential work to combat food insecurity across our region. Their work reaches far beyond meals, helping serve families, build partnerships, and strengthen communities across East Tennessee. We were proud to highlight an organization whose work meets a critical need and creates a lasting difference in the lives of so many.

February

Our February Community Spotlight featured the American Heart Association during American Heart Month. Axle was proud to support both the Heart Ball and the Heart Ball Late Party on February 8 at The Mill & Mine, standing alongside advocates, partners, and supporters committed to raising awareness and advancing the fight against heart
disease.

Later in the month, the American Heart Association visited HQ2 to provide hands-only CPR training for our team. It was a meaningful opportunity to raise awareness and educate our team while reinforcing the importance of heart health.

Axle also supported the YMCA TopGolf Tournament on February 12. The event benefited an organization that continues to serve the community through youth development, healthy living, and programs that support individuals and families across
East Tennessee.

March

Big Brothers Big Sisters of East Tennessee was our March Community Spotlight. Their mission centers on creating meaningful one-to-one mentoring relationships that help local youth build confidence, gain support, and see new possibilities for their future. They also joined us for a Lunch and Learn, giving our team a closer look at the lasting impact of
mentorship in our community.

Axle Logistics was involved in several community events throughout March. We attended the Knoxville Symphony Orchestra’s Stars & Strikes Symphony Ball on March 21st at Covenant Health Park. This event celebrated the arts while helping fund programs that bring music and cultural experiences to the community. On March 26, our team was proud to be part of the Big Ears Music Festival, one of Knoxville’s most recognizable cultural events. The festival brings energy, creativity, and visitors from across the country into downtown Knoxville while showcasing the city’s vibrant arts scene.

Later in the month, we joined the Rocky Top Veterans Foundation at SkyView at Broadway Social on March 28. It was an opportunity to stand behind an organization committed to serving and supporting veterans in our community. Lyndsay Nelson, a member of the Axle team, shared, “I am very pleased to see an organization who takes military veterans mental health seriously and is willing to expand their knowledge into our community. Rocky Top Veterans is veterans helping veterans, and it couldn't get better than that!”

Employee Spotlight

Tucker Davis, Logistics Consultant Team Lead, and Gabby Schilling, Senior Logistics Consultant, are approaching year two as Bigs with Big Brothers Big Sisters. During that time, they have each built strong, meaningful relationships that highlight the lasting value of mentorship.

Tucker shared, “It’s been a privilege to be part of my Little Brother’s life and witness his growth. Building a genuine friendship and watching him grow in confidence has been a more memorable and impactful experience for me than I could
have ever imagined. Being a part of this program has led me to find a new sense of purpose outside of the office and to realize that even small moments of mentorship can have a lasting impact. I am extremely blessed for this opportunity and hope that others take the step to discover the profound impact they can make, not only on someone else’s life, but also their own as well.”

Gabby shared, “I went into the Big Brothers Big Sisters program hoping to make a positive change in Amoni’s life and make a community impact that lasts a lifetime. Now here we are in year two, and Amoni has changed my life and has become the little sister I never had. I wouldn’t change this experience for anything! Forever grateful for Big Brothers Big Sisters for placing her in my life.”

Their experience is a reminder that community impact is not always defined by a single moment. Often, it is built over time through consistency, investment, and a willingness to show up for others.
