Hey! We’d love to talk to you about your project.

September Community Spotlight: Blood Cancer United

October 8, 2025

At Axle Logistics, we believe in standing beside those who fight the toughest battles. This September, we are proud to shine our community spotlight on Blood Cancer United, an organization dedicated to bringing hope, support, and resources to individuals and families impacted by blood cancers. We are honored to sponsor the East Tennessee Light The Night. This inspiring event unites our community to honor survivors, remember loved ones, and raise critical funds to advance research and patient support.

Mission of Blood Cancer United

Blood Cancer United’s mission is to cure leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin’s disease, and myeloma, while improving the quality of life for patients and their families. Through research, education, and compassionate support, they provide hope and tangible resources for those navigating a blood cancer diagnosis. From funding lifesaving treatments to offering emotional support and advocacy, Blood Cancer United serves as a guiding light for families during their most difficult times. Their mission is a reminder that no one has to face these challenges alone, there is a community ready to walk beside them every step of the way.

Light The Night: Walking for a Cure

Later this year, Axle Logistics will join hundreds of others at Knoxville’s Light The Night Walk, coming together to celebrate survivors, remember those we’ve lost, and fuel the fight for a cure. Participants carry illuminated lanterns: white for survivors, red for supporters, and gold in memory of loved ones, symbolizing unity, strength, and hope.

We’re especially honored that one of our General Managers, Zach Walton, serves on the planning committee for Blood Cancer United. His leadership and passion reflect Axle’s deep commitment to making a difference beyond the walls of our business.

As Zach shared:

“I accepted the opportunity to serve on the board for the Blood Cancer United Light the Night fundraiser because of a personal connection to a survivor through a close friend. This role provides a meaningful way to honor that experience while contributing to the community, raising awareness, and supporting the critical mission of advancing progress against blood cancers.”

Standing for What Matters

Our partnership with Blood Cancer United represents more than just a single walk; it reflects our commitment to a sustained, meaningful impact. At Axle, we understand that real change happens when we come together with purpose, compassion, and action. We are honored to stand alongside Blood Cancer United, survivors, families, and the entire East Tennessee community as we light the night and fight for a brighter tomorrow. Together, we’re making time for what matters.
