On Tucker Davis’s team, ambition drives their goals and the group's success. They have built a rhythm of showing up prepared, talking openly, learning from one another, and taking pride in what they achieve together.

For Tucker, leading the team means creating an environment where each person has room to grow. Seeing that growth and taking time to celebrate the team’s accomplishments motivates him to support them each day.

The Habits That Set Their Pace

Consistency starts with what the team does week after week. Joseph Niblick points to early starts, weekly meetings, and goal setting as habits that help everyone stay focused.

The team’s connection extends beyond those meetings. Joseph says they also spend time together outside of work to maintain their friendships. That time together has helped them build a connection that carries into the workday.

Casey Matheny says conversations give the team time to discuss its pace and identify ways to improve. They also create space for teammates to be open about the support they need.

“Communication is everything,” Casey shared. “One way that communication is crucial to our success is the ability to communicate when we need help.”

Luke Kilbourne sees that openness in Axle’s day-to-day culture. He values the team’s open-door approach and the willingness people have to help one another. Even as the work moves quickly, he says the atmosphere stays upbeat and supportive.

When Justin Sanzo was asked to describe the team in three words, he chose “energetic, family, ambitious.”

Justin credits his teammates with helping him grow. They offer support, share feedback, and learn from what each person brings to the conversation. For him, that exchange is part of what makes the group stronger.

Daniel Scansen says Axle’s focus on continuous improvement encourages everyone to contribute beyond their individual responsibilities.

“Everyone is encouraged to be a leader, take ownership, and strive to get better every day,” Daniel shared.

That sense of ownership gives teammates the opportunity to develop their own strengths while adding to the team’s progress.

Luke finds purpose in building lasting customer relationships and knowing his work has an impact on the people he interacts with each day.

“There is something satisfying about knowing the work directly impacts people we work with daily,” Luke shared.
